ABOUT MINDSCAPE
Who Am I?

My name is Dhara Hansalia, and I am a senior in high school. Through my journey as a high school student, I have personally seen the pressures and challenges that can impact students' mental well-being, such as stress and anxiety, in my peers and family members. Once I understood that many of my peers were also facing similar issues, and I felt a strong urge to address them.
I have always been passionate about writing, whether it be consuming others’ writing through books or writing myself, from short stories to opinion pieces. In school, however, I am most interested in biology and psychology, as I am fascinated by the intricate workings of the human body and mind. By integrating all three of these interests into my project, I hope to create something that resonates with my audience and brings them awareness about the diverse psychological treatments available today.
Why Do I Write?
The primary goal of this project is to offer a platform where people can access accurate, evidence-based information about mental health. Although schools introduce the topic, the discussions often remain surface-level, leaving students with an incomplete understanding. On social media, mental health is frequently discussed, but posts are often filled with misinformation or focus more on negativity rather than promoting positive, supportive dialogue. I aim to fill this gap by providing deeper insights into mental health, exploring various treatments, and sharing my research-based perspective. My ultimate goal is to help destigmatize mental health issues and encourage more informed, uplifting conversations that inspire growth and healing.
